Dr Richard Norris

Anatomical Pathologist


Dr Richard Norris graduated from University of Melbourne and subsequently worked at PANCH until commencing the Pathology training. 

He trained at Prince Henry’s Hospital, Queen Victoria Medical Centre, PANCH and St Vincent’s before completing his fellowship in 1989. Since then he has worked in public and private Pathology laboratories with appointment at Caulfield General medical Centre, Alfred and St Vincent’s with 7 years at Gribbles and 4 years at Dorevitch Pathology laboratories. 

Dr Norris is a General Pathologist specialising mainly in Anatomical Pathology and Cytopathology.  His special interests are in GI Pathology including Barrett’s metaplasia, Dermatopathology, Breast Pathology, Gynaecological Pathology and Cytopathology. 

He is currently the Pathologist for the Inflammatory Bowel and Upper GI/Pancreatic/Hepatobiliary MDMs and is relieving Pathologist for the Colorectal and Breast MDMs, and Breast screen.
