Director of Cytogenetics


Associate Professor Lynda Campbell
M.B. B.S F.R.C.P.A. F.H.G.S.A

A graduate of the University of Melbourne, A/Prof Lynda Campbell trained in laboratory Haematology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital in London and the Alfred Hospital.  In 1988, she received a Keogh Fellowship from the then Anti-Cancer Council of Victoria to train in cancer cytogenetics.  This training was undertaken with Dr Margaret Garson at St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and included a stint with Dr Carlo Croce in Philadelphia.  In 1993, she was appointed Director of the Victorian Cancer Cytogenetics Service at St. Vincent's Hospital.  In addition, she is a principal fellow in the Department of Medicine, University of Melbourne.  Her special area of interest is the cytogenetics of haematological malignancies.
